Hi all

Ive had my S5 for a couple of years now and absolutely love it although I've never thought muchnof the brakes. I had them checked with no issues however last time it was serviced, I was told they would need replacing so getting that arranged for Sept.

Can anyone recommend good replacements? I dont drive like a loon so dont need anything outrageous.

Who has what and what do people recommend please?

Febi Bilstein stuff is good as a standard replacement. Fitted dozens of sets and had no issues with fit, performance, or durability.

Bit more money but the Kinetix drilled discs look really good:

Thanks again Dr G.

Out of interest, if I wanted a slight upgrade, what do i go for?

Vented, grooved? EBC, Brembo? Anything else?

Brembo Xtra bite nicely and last well, but remain an uncompromised road pad. Could pick something from EBC in a compound that suits your needs.

As for the discs any 'upgrade' is purely cosmetic.

Kinetix discs I fitted to an S4 a while back. They're quite OEM in appearance, where so many "slotted/grooved/dimpled/blinged" discs look like cheap s**t.
