ANNUAL EVENT FEEDBACK
Discussion
Just thought I'd start this topic !
Overall, a really good event - with very very many positives.
Ticket price - unlike one or two other motoring events - this was fair and reasonable -
Very good marshalling in terms of the car park - and within a short distance of the event itself. (Perhaps the 7000 max capacity helped in this aspect?)
A fantastic array of cars on display - both in the "public" car park - and special areas.
Great "like minded" event attendees - unsurprising really - though some previous poor experience at the FoS did make us wonder what to expect.
Queues at vendors were actually "okay" in general - but could be better by perhaps having one or two extra coffee/drinks vendors.
Equally - vendors selling food had their prices set quite fairly I felt ( again in comparison to one or two other event venues )
The Hangar display was very good - and a stroke of genius in terms of being out of the direct sunlight in a cool hangar.
Allowing "friendly and well behaved dogs - this policy seems to have worked very well it appeared.
The bad?
Bought several cleaning products from a "sponsor" of this event. Whilst not expecting massive discount - neither was I expecting to find out later that I'd been right royally ripped off. Unnecessary, disrespectful and a mistake from this major cleaning product supplier..
The 6 products bought came to £118.
Checked the on-line price available from a well known distributor that delivers the next day for free - & it came to a few pence over £70
I suppose one may expect a little premium over and above the price elsewhere - however I honestly think a 70% ( yes SEVENTY PERCENT ) uplift is obscene - they ought to be embarrassed. Lesson learned by me for sure ! Never too old to learn eh?!
Shame on them.
That aside - this event was most certainly worth the 90 minute drive both ways. We would definitely go again.
Interested to hear/read any other feedback
Cheers.
