Wasn't sure where to put this but can you imagine being the police officer that gets to drive the Ferrari Monza SP2.

I'm not saying anything bad about the Police they are doing their job so fair play. If your going to drive like a knob in something that stands out with no insurance or licence well you deserve your car seized.

Do seized cars go into Police auctions? I can't imagine Ferrari would allow that.

We need fines to be proportional to wealth.

A few thousand quid to some people is loose change hence no deterrent to breaking the rules.

I can't imagine Ferrari would have - or should have - a say on how the police handle seized cars!

In London you tend to see drivers like myself, middle aged to old aged in Sports Cars but it always surprises me that a majority of Super Car drivers are sooo much younger.

Always makes me think there's something dodgy going on.

Very misleading article (as they always are nowadays). Made it sound like they actually sold the Ferrari at auction, but they didn’t.

Apparently you have seven days to contact the police and then have to prove ownership and pay the fines to have the car released.

More likely it was just the driver wasn't insured to drive it.

Arab summer, a regular longstanding occurrence

Cars shipped over for the summer from the Middle East and used as toys around the "Harrods loop" causing annoyance and plenty of anti-social behaviour

Many of the owners don't realise they need insurance and driving licences that cover them for driving in the UK

The Police have been cracking down on it for some years

Flamesuit on for this, but its really quite depressing how thinned out traffic Policing has become when you consider the scale of what was detected and achieved in just a few days here. It shouldn't need to be a dedicated operation.

I was in the city on Friday night and they are having a crackdown (mostly on Dubai and UAE cars it seems)

They pulled over a Urus but let this guy go again.



Lots of other expensive metal seized.





McLaren was on UK plates as was an RR there, all with no insurance apparently. They had an Abarth 595 and were chasing stuff down as it went past Wellington Arch

Good job from the Police. It'd be a safe assumption that should said "Prince" smash his car into somebody else causing serious injury or death he'd be in the first plane back to the desert to avoid his charges.

Yeah, no honour or decency, just wheedle out of it with no fks given having ruined someone life, hopefully they get the message.

Its a more money version of what plays out in various towns and cities up and down the country with the regular high speed crashes.

Like a few have said this has been going on for years, so how do they not know they need insurance and a licence?

They can afford the fine but surely they have staff that can arrange the insurance and licences for them to avoid the faff of being pulled over and your car seized, then going to the impound with your documents to get it back.

All that money and they have nothing better to do than drive round central London. There's plenty of better places in Europe to drive, but I suppose there's not as many phone cameras on Alpine passes or racetracks.

I saw that car on Thursday. Parked up near Grosvenor square... with a parking ticket obvs..

Looked amazing in that colour.

What haopens to the cars now? Iimpounded, seized? Sold off cheaply to a hopeful on an internet forum??
