That will be on the 'downhill' runway area.

Helps the planes take off quicker as they're going 'downhill'. Also makes them slow down quicker when they land facing 'uphill'

I had an exception on one of my insurance policies that I was not covered on airfields. The problem being that I worked on a site that used to be an airfield and still had a runway.

I wondered what had happened previously to cause such a clause to be added. I figured it included some form of red car, an aircraft and started with “watch this…”

Unless it was the airbag going off it looked like there was someone in it, and, yes, the door did appear to be opened.

Thats quite a standard insurance exemption. I used to maintain airfield equipment and my employer religiously pointed this out to me and explained if I hit something they would be liable for the repair costs so be exceptionally careful.
