Drone incursions into airports

A couple of recent cases of drone incursions lately piqued my interest:

Leipzig airport:

A quadcopter carrying explosives was spotted by a bus driver who kicked it, causing said drone into a terminal loss of altitude.

This one into the combined Williamtown military and Newcastle Civilian airport. Air force personnel were told to close the blinds on windows to prevent classified information from being photographed by the drones.


There were those one or two major airports in the UK which were shut down due to mysterious drone incursions. Are drone incursions showing that airports, defence et al are cosplaying competency with regards to new threats? Or are drones a non-issue in the scheme of things and when the time comes everything will just get covered in mesh like the trucks and artillery in Russia and Ukraine?
