Help, my daughter has just bought a VW Hybrid and as dad I will be expected to know,
I know nothing about them, it’s a VW Multivan plug in hybrid.
I know I’m going to get asked,,,
Can she charge anywhere, will she need an app and the best one to get?
It only came with one charge cable that looks industrial,, can she get a 13amp adapter and charge at home?
And anything else you could pre empt that I’ll get asked, thanks.
I’m also not sure if this has regen?

Without bothering to do any research.

Yes you can buy a granny cable and charge from a 3 pin socket, will probably get about 1-1.5 kWh.

My Citroen C5X came with a 3.7 kWh charge capability as standard, and supposedly a 7.4 kWh option. My car seems to do the latter despite nothing in the documentation suggesting it has the higher capability.

So 2.5 kWh in 45 minutes would suggest c3.7kWh capability.

As an aside, here in France there are lots of local 7-21 kWh chargers, and almost no users, so charging away from home can be quite easy. I guess BEV owners probably can't be bothered with them.

Absolutely.

This is the one I bought a couple of months ago:

...and this was my second choice:

(I would go with 10metres or longer to avoid having to use an extension cable,
which can be a safety issue)
