DB11 steering wheel - cleaning advice please

I have a 2018 DB11 Volante - it hasn’t yet hit 20k miles. One previous owner - I’ve had it about 18 months.

The steering wheel is blue leather and has apparently never been cleaned - it doesn’t look dirty but certainly feels sticky at the ten and two o’clock positions.

Saddle soap seems like the obvious solution…

Before I get stuck in and unintentionally remove the colour, does anyone have any experience they might care to share for avoiding that outcome?

For high grade, semi aniline leather like in our Astons, I find that Gyeon Leather Cleaner Natural is brilliant.
