Windscreen washer jets on "classic" Defender

The standard washer jets are sub-optimal on the "classic" Defender and many alternatives are available but before I let moths out of my wallet I'd wondered about changing to the Series 3 type nozzles where there was one per side. I happen to have a pair and wondered if anyone else had tried this?
The main problem is that the central position of the nozzle means the washer jet is compromised in accuracy either at low or "high" speeds, I thought this might be a cost-effective way to resolve that.
I can't really remember how effective the washers were in my Dad's Series 3 but remember that he rarely ventured above 50 mph so maybe never found out.

You can remove the grommets in the bulkhead for the LHD wiper fitment, and put two standard nozzles in there with a T piece in the hose.
You can just about fit the standard nozzles in - the bulkhead is thicker but it should still fit OK, but some of the cheap aftermarket nozzles have a slightly shorter rear section so it might be a bit tight. It's a pain in the rear to do though, as you need to strip out the dash top etc for access. Results are considerably better than standard for a few quid.
You can also swap the washer pumps around - I think it's one from a disco meant for the front headlight washers that fits and is much higher pressure. This is what some of the expensive kits use...
