Can anyone share experiences / products for sealing a brick built single skin double garage? I'm in Scotland, and we get a lot of rain , so now that the new build warranty is up, I'm thinking a breathable sealant will make sense to protect contents and the garage itself. Guessing this is fairly common and others will have experience to share. This is my first house with an external garage - will eventually house a little something for weekends...

‘Something for the weekend?’ Oooh, suits you Sir, something racy is it Sir, oooh. Any how, moving on, do you get damp showing inside? If not leave it alone. Google Stormdry cream for a a clear waterproofer on the outside if you do have problems; or if it’s bare brick inside and you want to tidy it up, have a look at Zinsser WaterTite.

Are you having any issues with water getting in at the moment? We have a new build external garage and were dealing with serious moisture issues. Turned out the threshold for the side door was missing and the 1.5" gap was allowing the wind to drive rain inside the garage... enough for it to cause the racking shelves and any fabrics to go mouldy. whole door and frame replaced under warranty and issue resolved.
