Fog warnings. What's wrong with using your eyes/common sense ?

Its the ones that you can't do much about that worry me, such as "oncoming vehicles in middle of road" (wouldn't it make more sense to tell them to stay on their side?) and the one with falling rocks.

In my early days of driving I remember being on the M25 and drove a long way wondering what 'FO9' was hehe

Could be a bit tricky getting a double decker bus under the arched railway bridge....

For me it's double yellow lines - nobody seems to take a blind bit of notice anymore.

Mine is double yellow lines around the edges of T junctions, where it's already illegal to park.

the ones that say

"This sign not in use"

Not quite true.

they mean the one next to it

So the one that says This sign Not in use. IS in use telling you another one isn't.

Quite unnecessary

"CAUTION, Hot Water" above the hot water tap in public and shared use sinks and basins.

Absolutely this, utterly moronic.

There is a stretch on the A14 near Cambridge that has a sign approaching from both directions that up to a couple of weeks ago states "Signs not working due to vandalism" and all the signs between are blank.

This has been showing for the best part of 6 months or so.

It makes you wonder what sort of vandalism occurred that takes this amount of time to repair.

It’s some of the crap on matrix signs that get me. The favoured one around by me is ‘use all car parks’. Is that really necessary? I also find ‘please drive carefully’ to be pointless. I mean, I agree with the sentiment, but surely the sign doesn’t influence behavior.

"drive on the left" and similar.
Unfortunately the volume of visitors who forget in Scotland these days means that they are needed.
