I’m looking to plan a week’s trip in October to coincide with the wine harvest festivals. Looking for tips where to stay / what to do etc.

Flying in from Dubai which is nice and easy, 3hrs direct arriving mid morning.

I’m thinking 2 days in Tbilisi then renting a motorbike for a 5 day tour.

1 night borjomi
2 nights stepantsminda
1 night tsinandali

Then back to tblisi and home

I’ve found nice hotels / wineries and the general plan would be to bimble on the bikes for a few hours each day before getting down to some serious gluttony.

Mainly struggling on the route, it’s a small country but I would want the seat time to be as full of scenery as possible.

Anyone been? Any specific or generic sites for road routes?

Gamarjoba,

I spend a lot of time in Sakartvelo and I’m here right now.

You’re correct, Georgia is a small country and travelling from Tbilisi to the places on your list you’ll get to see a lot of great scenery. However some of the distances covered might take longer than expected. Are you staying at Rooms Hotel in Stepantsminda?

I’d try to include Abudelauri and Roshka when you’re in the Kazbegi area, it’s beautiful and not as touristy as the other places you are visiting. Mt Kazbegi is magnificent. Don’t trust Google Maps for Roshka as it has the village in the wrong place.

When you’re at Tsinandali I’d try to visit Sighnaghli too, it’s a bit touristy but worth a visit.

If you need to know anything else let me know.
