Ladder scaffolding

Has anyone got a recomendation or any ideas for ladder scaffoloding similar to this https://drabest.co.uk/aluminium-ladder-scaffolding...

I need the scaffolding board to be around 1.5m high but all the sensibly priced ones that are easy to erect are around 1m high for the board.

Looks a bit overkill and is only 1M high for the platform. I may just look at getting some decent ladders.

My uncle's a builder and is always on the lookout for people selling the Boss branded aluminium tower components. He has a fair bit already and used it at my house earlier this year. It is really brilliant stuff.

There is always loads for sale on eBay but rarely at a bargain price. Sometimes the joints or connections can be damaged - if you can TiG weld you can repair them quite satisfactorily otherwise I wouldn't touch the damaged ones.

If you need them to be car transportable, be aware there is single and double width varieties - the doubles won't lie flat in a vehicle (too wide) although you might be able to stand them up in a pick-up bed. They're more easily transported in a flat-back van or trailer. The double width is my preference because of stability but if you get the stabiliser legs, even the single width type is pretty decent up to 1st story height. Makes me a bit uncomfortable at roof level though - would prefer the double widths for that.

I have a Boss Minimax. It's probably worth more now than it's original purchase price. It's a super piece of kit that inspires confidence.

Cripple brackets were outlawed when I was an apprentice back in the early 90’s, zero fall protection.

You do see window fitters use them out and about at times.

Interestingly if a HSE is passing he can stop so I have been told and either tell said trade to get off it or report them, I suppose they’re only doing their job and if said trade did fall after HSE bod saw it but didn’t stop then it becomes a grey area.

I designed this around 10 years ago, when I worked for Lyte Ladders.

They've always been very popular. Designed to a specific safety standard for low level accesd platforms - PAS250.

Very robust also.

And yes, those ladder/platform pigs ears above are super dangerous and are renowned for killing people or causing very serious injuries. Steer well clear!!

I have something similar, unknown brand maybe middle of lidl, I inherited it. It's possible to put the platform on the top rungs?
I have done this in a narrow gap where falling off is unlikely and it's possible to brace the platform to something.
It's not ideal, but does the job better than other options like step ladders in the circumstances.

An alternative might be some conventional scaffolding?

Probably better to buy some scaffolding, there are some lighter versions available.

I have a BPS tower

It is not as good as the Boss kit but providing you use the outriggers it's very solid

I've one of these towers.
Various working heights, optional adjustable height wheels which I have - uneven ground.

They have a (too!) huge choice including the Boss recommended above. Good to deal with.
