Pinking type noise on GT4RS

Hi there. Looking for advice, or shared experiences.
Over the past couple of months I’ve become increasingly aware of a concerning sound when I accelerate gently away from a junction, roundabout etc from low speed. It sounds very much like pinking, just as we had back in the old days….long before super impressive ignition systems.
I always use super unleaded and the car has now covered 13,000 miles.
The sound isn’t there under hard acceleration, but the you don’t hear much under hard acceleration!
Anyone else had this?
