I know that nobody really cares, but here goes . . .

For the first time in 30 years'ish . . . I haven't got a "nice" sports car - someone made me an offer for my 987.2 Spyder, life had also changed a little and we now have a doggo, so Ithought that after 130,000 miles and 15 years, it was time to say goodbye for now - and we are now travelling around in a Merc GLA - which is nice, comfy and practical . . . but not very sexy.

I have to say that I am enjoying the feeling of zero "nice-car-stress" - that feeling that this isn't right, or that needs sorting, oh no I have mark on my wheel or bumper, where can I park it, it needs cleaning/polishing etc etc - the feeling is actually really quite nice - I cannot say that I miss the constant care, attention and worry a nice car comes with - not one bit!

The Spyder was 100% reliable and never once let me down, but it did have over 130,000 miles on it - so a level of "care" was certainly needed and always on my mind.

Just my ramblins - hope you are all enjoying the weather and grippy, bone dry roads!

Must surely be the highest mileage 987 Spyder out there. Well done on enjoying so many miles in it.

I’m still trailing behind by 111,000 miles! :-)

Hopefully you don’t miss it too much.
