As a middle aged man of a certain age (54) and recently separated has anyone been on or has recommendations for any on the singles holidays providers such as Flash pack etc
I am at stage of wanting a bit of adventure but not too family orientated and I just thoughti it would be a different experience!

I’ve been with both Solos and Just You, my experience is that as a 50 something you will be one of the youngest in the group. If you ring up to book with Solos you can ask the age range of those who have already booked if that’s a worry.
If your into any sport, or want to learn one, than a dedicated holiday, although not specifically for singles, may be an option, especially during term time.

Food is one of mine, when I was away on my own I toured street food markets, open markets etc & tried loads of things. Some places do organised tours.
Biggest issues I found were evenings, skiing I booked into catered chalets so there were other people round the table.
If you fancy a city as location get a tour guide for the evening, could be a chocolate tasting or progressive evening meal from one restaurant to the next each course

I haven’t used this company for 10 years or so but found when I went on a couples holiday there were a fair few singles enjoying learning to windsurf and sail etc. They seemed to form a merry band for the evenings entertainment too.
The opportunity to be able to play and have coaching in tennis and do all the watersports was superb.

Depends on whether your "solo traveller" holiday is because you are single, or, you don't want to be single, or you don't want to be alone. Three very different holidays. Lots of posts on here are assuming you want to hook up?
I'd recommend SE Asia - great for solo travellers and definitely an adventure. (and no, I'm not referring to what the seedy side of SE Asia has to offer)

OP - as others have said, an indication of what you're after is important. I've done a few holidays alone but in general I have found that I feel less adventurous when alone than I ever have been when in a couple or group. Thematic events can work really well but understanding what themes you're after will be helpful.
Take a look at some trips from tour companies that run trips a bit different to the usual beach package holidays
We did a food and drink based trip round Sicily a couple of years ago with Exodus, and that was a mix of couples and singles. A friend did a Great Wall of China trip with them solo and loved.

I've done 40+ solo cruises, and have met some amazing people from all over the world.I've now quite a few friends in the US that I can go visit anytime.
NCL is by far the best for solo cruisers, they have dedicated solo lounges on the bigger boats, and solo hosts that get the groups doing stuff, dining together etc..
The likes of P&O, Princess, have solo gatherings, but they're generally unhosted, and sometimes only a handfull of guests attend.

They're a travel agent that specializes in solo cruises, they seek out deals with lower single supplements.

We've used Intrepid a few times and the solo travellers on the tours we've done always seem to be having a great time, although they've always been women.Thailand, Cambo, Vietnam are good calls , but you'll be the old one in bar groups - that or all couples. We go to Thailand most years - I'm 57, and we are very much in the - "that man looks like my dad/grandad" category. Vietnam is all about the excursions. Cambo - temples. If you like your own company VN and Cambo are absolutely unmissable.
Goa is a very good shout (from above) - been our winter destination 2 years in a row and it's a more mature crowd, with loads of single female travellers in their late 40's / early 50's(if that's your thing) - clearly it feels safe there and you get loads - floppy hat, sunlounger, book, mojitos - some there for the winter judging by their colour. Lovely place (Patnem beach is our go-to for digs on the beach , also - Palolem has great bar/restaurants for an easy tuk-tuk or scoot up the road but I'd not stay there)
