How to insulate my garage

Hello my Garage has been turned into an office by previous owners - It has a roller door and then internal double doors - it has an insulated ceiling and walls . We use it as a bike store and general storage area so the outer garage door is closed and so are the double doors. The problem is that it gets exceptionally hot as the door faces the sun - hot enough to destroy my ebike battery - I have looked at roller door insulation but am dubious about that as it would seem it would prevent the door opening. The double doors and glass provide a very nice space to working on the bike in winter - I would like to be able to retain the light this gives. Any opinions on what I could do? I can't afford a new insulated door.

Can you ventilate between the garage door & double doors, or add a brise-soleil above the garage door?

Ventilation would cure most of the problems, just depends what options exist?

As a first step, would it be possible to paint the garage door a less thermally absorptive colour? I’m assuming it’s black/anthracite/dark brown rather than white?

After that, probably ventilation would be my next port of call.

As already said, I’d screen the doors from the sun or even cover them with foil during peak sun. White paint made a big difference to summer cabin temperatures when Henry Ford was developing the Transit.

Thanks for the comments - painting the door is not an option (lease) - the problem with ventilation is that l would have to do it through the door surround. What are the opinions on putting thermal blinds on the inner doors - would that keep the heat between the garage door and the double doors? There is a well of about 2ft

I don't think thermal blinds on the interior would make a jot of difference.

You need to either stop the heat hitting the door, or get rid of the heat from behind the door (i.e. ventilate).

What can you put in front of the door? Even some bamboo screening / camo netting (!) / plants in a planter would cast shade on the garage door.

Ok brilliant- or not so - I am glad to have thermal blinds ruled out - I think l have a plan for ventilation

I’d imagine an old white bedsheet draped over the garage door would make a noticeable difference. Keep the heat out in the first place rather than trying to manage it once it is in the building.
