What bothers me is the likely panic behaviour that leads to chaos at petrol pumps.

Our supply chain capacity for things like fuel, toilet paper etc is far smaller than the storage capacity for individuals. Thankfully there is at least a storage constraint for fuel for most people, but for many items there isn’t.

The very nature of it “ suddenly “ being published complete with no doubt clarifications and further advice “ not to panic “ just causes people to err panic.
If people stopped to think for a second they probably already have sufficient toilet rolls and tinned food to last for the 3 days spoken about.
Bottle water too perhaps ?
Are the general public really that daft to need being told this ?
