Hired a car in Fuertaventura. Charged insurance premium.
Discussion
I hired a car in Fuertaventura for a weeks holiday.
Picked up car at airport.
Was given the usual spiel about additional insurance cover. I said no thanks as I already have my own cover. Handed over my card for them to add what I thought was the holding deposit.
Thought nothing more of it.
Upon returning home I was surprised to see a debit of £86.33.
Contacted the hire car co asking what this is. Was told it was the insurance I opted for ???
I said no, they say yes, I said no please refund me, they say no you opted for it.
I know what you're thinking, but I categorically remember saying no to the additional insurance.
I was thinking about going down the Barclaycard charge back route?

Charge it back via the card but this'll be totally down to how much you pressure them as it's a he said/she said situation - if you can show the card company your existing/Seperately purchased cover it'll help your case
This but check your paperwork because if that said you had the insurance they wont pay out as you will have been shown to have accepted it.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
