Had the service a couple of weeks ago and foolishly agreed to pay their £40 to get the main car key battery replaced - only for the key to go dead this morning. Ffs clearly my fault for being lazy but does make me wonder if they even replaced the oil & filters...

Probably not, I have found in the past if the car does low annual miles they don’t do many of the consumables, for instance when I went to clean out the airbox on a 30 month old JCW that had been serviced at 2 years the filter was the one it left the factory the filter and box were filthy, now I always change the air filters my self and clean box which they never do even if they do replace the filter
