Motorbike incident
Discussion
Nobody harmed other than ego.
Sat on a main road waiting for a car to turn right, car goes, whoosh motorbike decides he wants to overtake/merge with me on my right side just as the car in front is pulling over and get in front of me.
I use horn, he decides to stop right in the middle of the main road in front of me and call me every word under the sun.
Is this sort of driving deemed acceptable in the Highway Code or was I right to be aggrieved?
It felt dangerous to me that I couldn't see him and he was passing on the junction as well.

Why did you use the horn?
Have I got this right?
You're sat behind a car that's waiting to turn right.
The car begins to turn right when a biker decides to overtake you.
You hold the horn and the biker swears at you.
I can't see why you'd need to beep the biker? He's just getting past you there so he doesn't have to do it at higher speeds a km down the road.

Is it normal for anyone to overtake on the right side of you in front of a adjacent street while I am moving as well? what if I decided to turn right as well.
Using my horn was needed to avoid him going into me ?
Im just interested to hear
Searching myself indicates this idiot on a deathwish would had been liable.

It's normal to overtake on the right.
It's bad practice (particularly for a bike) to overtake at a junction and not something I would do personally - 55+ years on two wheels makes one very defensive!
However, if you were all stationary and the bike decided to out-accelerate you and filter past as you pulled away and there were no further obstacles, I don't get why you would use your horn and invite his anger?
If you were going to turn right, surely your road position and indicator would have let the motorcyclist know this?

filtering, nothing to see here.
Exactly this.No idea why op used the horn - it seems he is totally unaware that filtering is actually legal in this country & that even fairly modest bikes can easily out accelerate pretty much all other traffic. Us evil bikers are even allowed to use bus lanes....
