10 episode drama based on the John Graham novel starts tonight on ITV1 at 9pm, although all episodes as are on ItvX.I really like the film which stars Matt Damon, Danny DeVito and Claire Danes therefore I wasn't too sure about the drama but decided to give it a go. I'm now three episodes in and In really liking it.

I've watched the entire series and it's not a patch on the movie. A couple of issues, Dublin looks nothing like South Carolina, that's the most unlikely looking American bar ever. The older actors are showing up the youngsters, particularly the guy playing the Matt Damon role. I kept watching hoping it would get better but it lacks the drama and tension of the movie.

Judging by the first episode, this is really disappointing. I'll see what the second one is like, but unless things improve I won't be bothering with all ten.
