Selling the bike on behalf of the wife. She knows so don t worry, I’m not suicidal! She’s not used it for best part of 6 years and it’s just taking up garage space and getting in the way. She’s been riding since she was 17 which was waaayyy back in 1990 and has had this since 2009. She probably last rode it in anger back in September 2017 and it’s done 175 miles since then and that was mainly to clear the cobwebs out on the semi-annual pilgrimage to the MoT station.
It gets started regularly and will start on the button most of the time, certainly within a few cranks when left for a few months. It had a drain, flush and fresh tank of fuel earlier this year to make sure that was all good and a tin of injector cleaner chucked in. The mechanic that took the bike for MoT (on trade plates as it is SORN & not insured on the road) said it could do with the injectors being cleaned but other than that it was alright.
A few non standard bits which you can see from the photos. The pillion seat is included, that’s in great condition and there is a trickle charger wired into the bike but I rarely have to plug it in, it had a new battery a couple of years ago. Used to have a Power Commander on it (hence the red wiring tape on the headstock) but that was removed as it corroded (badly installed by the original owner) so this has all been removed and cables correctly sealed.
She doesn’t want a lot for it. It’s done 2 miles since the last MOT in May 2025 (ran out May 2026) and she’ll get a brand new MoT put on it when she sees what interest she gets. She doesn’t need the money but she can’t see her riding again given the godawful state of the roads and driving standards nowadays. (Her words).
