Darkening mortar
Discussion
I bought some ready mix mortar (just add water) to replace some pointing on garden slabs. Job went OK, but the mortar is a very light concrete colour now it's gone off. I have some more to do - is there a good way of darkening the mortar before I start round two? Or maybe it will become darker with age?

Thank you - I had no idea such a thing existed.I am a top DIY'er.
This might be better for your application, Sika liquid mortar tone. The powder's are fine but the dosage is calculated per kg of cement which with a ready mixed product will be hard to work out. The liquid one is dosed per litre of water, it also mixes easier. If the colour’s not critical, just bung some of the powder in! It will lighten as it dries and they both fade over time.
The powder is more widely available btw.
