RE: Range Rover Electric officially unveiled

If I woke up one morning and found myself to be pretty bloody wealthy, I think this would be one of my first purchases for the 'family car'. I genuinely can't think of something I'd want more.. with all the stuff that makes a Range Rover fantastic (class, style, presence, usability) combined with all that makes electric cars fantastic (quiet, refined, powerful, reliable, clever). What more could you really need?

And before all you anti-electric car zealots chime in... there'd be a manual GT3 in the garage for weekends as the second purchase

Drivetrain seems decidedly mediocre.

I guess they're banking on the Range Rover-ness being enough.

Range Rovers cross the line between Class and Klass depending on the model you buy.

Light metaliic, standard silver wheels, clear glass - Class.

Black, black alloys, black delete, black tints - Klass.

In what way? Seems to suit the brief very well for what the car is designed (not necessarily driven) to do, it doesn't need headline power figures of 1,000bhp - that would be pointless.
