Any idea how much one of these costs new? I've tried tvrcarparts but can't seem to get any returns for anything.

Oh, for a Griff 500.

Cheers.

This is why I was making the enquiry, I was thinking of bidding. The one on my car is cracked. The seller says that they are £94 new, is this right?

Cheers.

I paid about £80.00 for mine from a main TVR dealer. I'm sure you could get one cheaper though.

Cracked where? You might just be able to repair it with superglue.

The crack not that bad to be honest and it's in no danger of falling apart. The crack is on the back, the circular bit. Some idiot broke it whilst putting it on . The metal piece was not slotted into it's proper place whilst re-fitting and pushed the back out.

It needs adjusting anyway methinks. How do you get a reading with a voltmeter? I can't seem to find any bare wires to get a reading from. I've tried pushing the voltmeter bits down the connector but without success. Nil reading.

Yep, you normally just poke the meter prods into the back of the connector. On cheap meters with captive leads you may find the prods aren't long enough to reach far enough in.
Make sure the throttle plate is set correctly (and closes fully) before you do adjust the t-pot...
