I’ve just spent a bit of time trying to set up my new (to me) 2022 RR Sport’s connectivity, and didn’t manage.

I stuck in a 3 data sim but the car said it was unsupported. I’ve not managed to add the car to my online account as the previous owner still has it on his, and the maps and online services all refused to update, either over the SIM or by connecting to WiFi.

Should this all be fixed if I take it in to my local dealer with the V5 and have them transfer ownership in their system to me, and is this the only way to do it?

It’s a bit hard at the minute for me to get over, and I half expect if I do that I’ll just get met with blank looks.

Do I need to then pay a subscription, and what does that get me? I probably only want to use the sim so my children can stream films on long journeys, so am already wondering if it’s better just to use a MiFi instead and forget about doing it via the car.

I don’t know if it’s gone wrong or it’s down to me needing to assign the car to me and / or pay a subscription.
