Ducati choices
Discussion
There are a lot of Monsters about for that kind of budget if you don't want a Superbike.
My Ducati Sport Tourer is older, but the Desmoquattro engine has been OK to work on, doing my own belt changes and valve checks.
Not needed to change any shims in 20,000 miles.
I used to commute on it, so it has had some clutch fettling!
This isn't the only Ducati I've owned, I've not had huge problems with any of them.
As ever, your real budget needs to be total cost of ownership inc servicing.
For the older bikes, there was/is a huge amount of info and 'community' support for anything you need to do.
I'm not up to speed with newer bikes.
There are also lots of indy specialists.

I do like Tuono V4
You'll get bored of the costs associated with it quicklymilu said:
But also fancy Ducati. Always had a thing for a Diavel but also like the older Streetfighter. Quite different I know
Same as abovemilu said:
I m only looking around £6k price point
Any thoughts or experiences?
Cheers
make sure, you'll have a decent test ride, that certainly you'll love for the first 3 minutes, learn them being too "different" (unrefined, heavy) from S1000r etc, but "horses for courses", and since you've kinda leaving refinement criteria- "weapon" behindAny thoughts or experiences?
Cheers
lesser downgrade would be Trumpet Speed Triple, perhaps?

Costs like what? They'll be cheaper to run than a lot of Ducatis
Tuono V4, just servicing, that you can't no longer do... TBF on any ANW, then running costs... suppose more or less the same as any Dukies, which is near the same as BM's . Just the lad I know, took his £4.5k worth Tuono for servicing wasn't happy with wait for a month for consumables and "mere" £1.9k bill later... expensive hobby, as to saymilu said:
Leather waistcoat too??
Must bear insignia:"Blue Oyster Club"
or"Camp Riders"
or "Butch Patrol"
Or... I'll get my coat

Re service costs
The Diavel I ve secured has had the big belt service done and is up to date. I m sure something will come up though
Hope you did proper test rode it? whilst for speed it might beat S1000r, it is significantly heavier beast at slower riding- "diving about in town and cities", expensive toy, but understandably loved, enjoy it!
