CGT up to mirror income tax rates on the name of growth.
All tax bands held firm in the name of growth.
Benefit payments to rise at least with inflation.
The turncoat who left defence bc not enough money for defence announces a discussion to be had post budget about how to think about using this growth to give more to defence.
Margin note saying MOD to pay reparations for Chagis this we'll hit 6% not 3 of GDP on defence in record time.

I'm expecting more pain for landlords.
It's an easy way to tax "ordinary working people" by making landlords pay, then pass the cost to tenants.
A former schoolfriend of mine - self-made millionaire dad, white Rolls etc - went to Cambridge and came out a raving leftie. The only problem is that he has three rental properties, so in the eyes of his government he's now an evil landlord exploiting the poor. I haven't heard from him for some time, presumably still wrestling the contradiction. It's an easy way to tax "ordinary working people" by making landlords pay, then pass the cost to tenants.
Budget forecast: Take 100 in tax, hand back 10 in sweeties - but only mention the sweetie part, and say 'Difficult choices' a lot. Also 'Committed to' is a good way to do nothing whilst seeming sympathetic.

The post 100k tax 'trap' will be addressed with a wider review of fiscal drag, more focused welfare support, reduction in the energy price cap, and tax breaks for small businesses.
As soon as backbench MPs salaries exceed 100k said tax trap will be instantly addressed. Panamax said:
