hi
i am on Eon smart charge tariff, with Zappi charger.
there is no schedule on the zappi
the Porsche app/ ev setup is a incomprehensible!!!

in an ideal world. its a matter of plugging in and the smart Eon app will fully charge the car by at set time..in my case 4am
this has not been happening.
it may charge to 70 % and then stops stating the car has paused charging.
i have called Eon ...they have been useless

anyone offer any advice on what setting they are using?

thanks in advance

We have a Simpson and Partners charger and I just set up a schedule for that. It’s worked flawlessly for 2.5 years.

How come you can’t set a schedule (called Boost on a Zappi by the looks of it) on your Zappi charger?

thanks for your reply
the eon smart app wants full control over charging time. as charging can occur during day time at 2p/Kw if there is surplus energy in the grid.
this means that there should be no timers set on zappi charger and car.
its the porsche that is stopping this happening
i disable the schedule in the porsche app and within 5 mins it activates itself again so pausing the charging
frustrating!!!

Ah! Got you! I use that Eon tariff too, but still just schedule it to charge between 12 and 6am. I don’t use the Eon app as the car isn’t sat at home plugged in all day.

I’ve never had that issue though, sorry. But then I never had any kind of schedule set up on the car or Porsche app for this car. I’ve only ever used the charger scheduler.

Do you have any kind of “Departure time” set in the car/app? Apparently this can cause conflicts with the handshake to the charger. You need to allow the Eon app to control all scheduling. (I appreciate that’s what you are trying to achieve…)

i was managing my charging like you are doing
10 days ago i get an email form Eon saying that they are going to suspend my account as i have disabled the smart charging function the their app.
so here i am trying to untangle this..

Well good luck with it!

Have you tried switching it all off and back on again?? smile

And how are you managing to get 2p/kWh with Eon? I’m on one of the smart tariffs and get nothing like that.
