I won't go into why i need a price for the perspex head light cover for my T350c.(Drivers side)
but if anyone could tell me, i would be grateful.
They are bound to be damn expensive, as i enquired as to how much a pair of rear side windows would be.....ready for this? £64 each, gulp!!

I had one changed on my Tamora. Not much change out of 100 notes with fitting.

When its fitted, dont forget to make sure the car is left to stand without ANY movement, for at least 24 hours. Otherwise any 'flexing' or movement will break the new seal and give you the dreaded condensation problems.

Thanks for all the info guys, now for the full story of why i need a new lense.
Ever since the BNG bash, when it rained an awful lot, I suffered with condensation in the drivers side light cluster.
I also had a feeling that one of the lights had come adrift from its mounting.
So i set to, and removed the inspection panel on the inside of the wheel arch, only to find that a light had indeed come unstuck, and i could also see daylight showing from the underside of the indicator light fitting, i put a bit of presure sideways on it, and that fell out aswell.
Big decision time now!! so it took all three lights out.
So i thought ,while i have them out, i will clean and dry the inside of the headlight.Whilst i was cleaning the lense, i noticed it was unstuck for about 4 inches.
Ah i thought, this might be easier to come out than i thought, so i made some small wooden wedges, to slide under the lense, this is when the st hit the fan!! suddenly there was a crack, and the rest is very expensive history, I should have remembered my old mans words "If it ain't broke don't fix it". To late to remember those words.

Dave,

Had a similar issues earlier this year. My headlight covers were misting up. So when car went in for some work i asked the dealer to change the covers. Problem is that one had been so called fixed bafore by another dealer and i think they must have welded it on!! result, front end respray????? £900 quid.

Hi John,
Did the front end need a respray anyway?
Funny thing about my lense was the out side came away easy, but like you say, i think mine was welded in too.
I think it will be a while before i touch the other side.
Now to cap it all, the effin washing machine has just blown up!!!

If its a DIY fitting job you will find the covers are oversize and need trimming down to fit. The black border around the edges will also need painting on.

Interesting fact I was told on Saturday when I was at the dealers. The drivers side will always mist up (T350 & Tamora) as there is some breed of pipe that passes right behind the drivers side light. Hence you will get condensation in that light and not the other.

Mine doesn't (it didn't before the accident anyway).

Dave,

Fortunately the front end did need some attention anyway.
Funny, my drivers side lense was lifting at the outside as well. I have since re-sealed one of my lenses myself, left hand side. Relativeley straight forward, but you do need to leave the sealer time to go off, at least 24hrs, I think that this is half the problem.

John.

Hi Dave,
Is it correct what Terry (aka Rolex) says about the lense being oversized, and has to be ground to fit?
as you must have fitted one or two by now.
