Factory visit end of January?

Is anyone going up to the factory at the end of January? I'm asking because I have booked my car in for a service on the 30th. Jan, and I'm not sure what to do about transport to and from the factory (I live near Sheffield.) I could get the train, obviously, but it would be nice to get a lift either back home, or to the the factory to pick up the car when sorted. Any help appreciated!

Why the change to the factory if it is the same service?

Nubbin, how do you know what your mileage is going to be at the end of Jan?
I suppose it's the luxury of having 2 cars? You can stop using the Tamora when it reaches the service interval.

No I didn't go to Colin Blower - also, I figured that since the dashboard has to go back to the factory for it's software upgrade, and there are lots of other niggly problems that need sorting, I thought it would be best to let the factory do it. Plus, they have the most experience of Tamoras. I'm up to 7000 miles, Andrew, but take off 10% or whatever for speedo over-readings, and the fact that it's getting to winter, and the BMW is going to be covering winter miles, who cares if the service is a bit late? Incidentally, I've just had to shell out £850 for a new, complete cylinder head on the BMW - but it includes valves, valve springs, camshafts, the lot. So I'm basically left with a new "short" engine! Should run for a few thousand miles more!!

Maybe it would be easier and cheaper to get a tow bar on the BMW, and hire a trailer for the day...
