9/11 Drone Display Twin Towers.
Discussion
I'm very impressed...
That must have been gut wrenching for the relatives, survivors and people watching in the area.
A good use of AI.
Presumably it is managing the swarm of 2977 drones.
Each one representing an unfortunate victim of the atrocity.

A wonderful memorial . A friend of ours was a teacher at the UN school just down the street from the towers and the number of children that were never collected and became orphans that day was heartbreaking .I watched some footage on YT last night , having seen it many times over the last 25 yrs , still as shocking now as it was on the day .

You are totally right, it is still almost unbelievable, one of those few moments of remembering exactly where I was and what I was doing.I was on holiday in Aruba that day, so in the same USA eastern time zone when it all happened. I worked for a UK subsidiary of Marsh for 33 years and 296 work colleagues were killed as a result of the plane that targeted the North Tower. Watching on TV that day was truly awful. 9/11 each year is a date for me to always spend some quiet time in contemplation. I could say so much more.....

I wasnt directly affected as you were but as a fellow Insurance bod working for RSA at the time when on the phone to a broker and him saying a plane had flown in to the WTC I didnt think too much about it as I knew planes had flown into tall buildings in the past in error such as Empire State Building.R.
But that short time later speaking to another broker and them telling me a plane had flown into the WTC and then us establishing it was a second plane in thr second building that was a horrendous oh f
k moment. At the time, the RSA internet was ridiculously bad so it was hard to understand anything more than snippets.Im really sorry that you lost colleagues. Still unbelievably sad.
Yep, what an incredible display.
25 years, I can imagine the security services have been fairly occupied in the lead up to this anniversary.
I was about to start a thread when I saw this one. Where were you 25 years ago?
I was 21, on my first (non-family) foreign holiday with a girlfriend in Gran Canaria, sitting outside a bar having bc some food and a beer when the TV was tuned to a Spanish language breaking news broadcast. Had mobile phones but no internet access. Hard to comprehend and travel back was a complete s

First time I've seen drones used for anything meaningful.
Few moments of peace and reflection.
