Ill in bed. The news was being very repetitive and boring. Something about a plane crash in the US.
Just woken up to go to a car show.

For 9/11 I was at work all day and someone came in saying a small plane had hit the WTC, something like a tiny Cessna or 2 person plane etc.. Nasty accident but life goes on.

I came home and put the news on to find it a whole paradigm different.

For 9/11 I was running an ID parade. We had a TV in the waiting room for witnesses/victims.

The first victim had gone on the parade and we waited for the second, and waited. And waited. i went with the defendant's brief to the waiting room and got there with a few minutes to the second crash. One witness was crying.

I ran the two witness through and went straight back as I thought there would be more.

I was in a year 8 history class at a new school as we were moving house and the teacher told us similar, didn't think much of it until I'd got back to the house we were moving from and put on the TV.

Aberfan. The day rolled out slowly. I was working in a factory but we had updates over the tannoy. Very little work done that day, but no criticism from management. Absolutely horrific and the thing that stayed in my mind was a doctor working to save kids not knowing how here own were.

9/11 Arguing with a tower crane operative in Poplar Dock that I really didn t give a flying F what the radio said, we re in the middle of a concrete pour and he couldn t come down until it was complete.

In hindsight I might be a bad person.
