by passing an electronic parking brake Jaguar
Discussion
Had to change the rear brakes on the Mrs F pace , it has an electronic parking brake ..... Followed the instructions for putting the car into Maintenance mode , turn on ignition hold parking brake for two seconds , then press accelerator hold down for two seconds then turn ignition ket ...... Nada
nothing tried all combination's is was still stuck in park .....
So I found this tip useful for anyone else struggling with an electric parking brake
I unclipped the electric connection on the rear calliper and made up two wires with electrical bayonet connections , attached neg and positive to the connections on the calliper , used an 18v DeWalt battery and connected the negative to the battery terminal , then carefully touched the positive until the calliper battery started to rotate . then took off the terminal . I then connected a calliper cylinder press and compressed the callipers and fitted the new brake pads .
It worked a treat with no fault codes
