Amusing to watch.

Spineless little prick.

Utterly tone deaf (ironically, for a musician).

It was the perfect response from his other support acts to his "justification" post.

You know this was led by Robert Kraft, telling sheeran that venues wouldn't host his concerts if he didn't drop Macklemore
AOC Says Robert Kraft Lined Up Stadiums to Censor Macklemore s Free Palestine Comments
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/aoc-says-robert-kraft-li...

“To see what Patriots owner Robert Kraft did to line up all the stadiums to censor speech in that one specific way… this isn’t just about one artist.”
https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social/p...

Who is Robert Kraft, pro-Israel billionaire who cancelled Macklemore?
Rapper Macklemore claims Kraft rallied other venue owners against his participation in Ed Sheeran s US tour.

That Robert Kraft

I think the best thing Sheeran could do now is to cancel all US concerts

Yet at the same time Kanye with Nazi comments are welcomed...

I don't blame him for wanting to keep politics away from his concerts, but he should have known this would have the opposite effect.

Keeping politics away from concerts like the Concert For Ukraine he performed at in 2022?

It's a bit rich for him to pick and choose which political issues to be OK with when it comes to performances, though he probably did feel like he'd been pressured into doing what he did in this instance.

He's dug himself into a hole now - if he now admits that Kraft pushed him into it, he'll be hit with the antisemitic blame card.

Elvis when asked for his opinion on Vietnam War protesters:

"Honey, I'd just as soon keep my own personal views about that to myself, because I'm just an entertainer and I'd rather not say."

If you only some of these celebs were as half as classy.

That's not classy - it's not wanting to say anything in case it upsets your paymasters.

If you exclude political views from song lyrics, musical history demonstrates you would never have heard some of the greatest songs ever written.

Feel sorry for Sheeran, by all accounts this results from a lobby on owners/operators of booked venues.

P.S. many of Elvis’ songs were political, covers in particular, but ‘In the Ghetto’ stands out as an example, as does ‘if I can dream’

Isn't this more between his support acts and the promoters?

Lesson is, if you invite lefty 'musicians' on stage, they will turn everything into a pro-Hamas farce if you let them.

I think Mr Sheeran could do well by sitting back and letting the promoters run around looking for some more support acts.

A pure coincidence one of die-hard Israel fans takes this view in these circumstances wink

As others have suggested, have you ever listened to music?

Agreed, entertainment should remain just that.
