Artura insurance
Discussion
Had a 570s spider a few years ago (insured with Admiral) and now looking at an Artura.
Admiral gave me a quote (via their website, with my partner as a named driver) of £1,115 - my 570s used be around £700 (back in 2022)
I'd like to know if any Artura owners could advise on who they insure with these days?

Admiral seem to be by far the most competitive, and the price drops further if you use their multi-car option.
I appreciate they don’t offer guaranteed valuation, but my Mclaren dealer said they are one of the biggest insurers for Mclarens via their dealership.
Incidentally the Artura is simply awesome, just buy with your head on the price front!

Admiral always seem to quote low for new customers, it's the renewal that will get you.
I had this recently with my 4RS, renewal came through which had gone up over £300... simple online comparison site brought it down below what I was paying. There's also no guarantee that a multicar policy will reduce the cost... spent 30 mins on the phone with them trying to be competitive and went through trying to add my 2nd car (GR Yaris), they were more expensive than 2 separate policies.

Hybrid puts up the premium, as most claims become huge especially with fires that don’t go out, and with Admiral they quote the best but make sure you call them and list all the optional extras which they class as modifications and if you have PPF on the car. Not heard any stories of Admiral not paying fair but better to list those optional extras separately.
Three years ago, Admiral doubled the insurance premium on 720S. They then quoted less than half a year later. Seems to me that they attract new customers with low premiums, then rely on customer apathy to increase premium at the next renewal - win-more, lose-some. So much for customer loyalty!
A quick google search answers why my premium increased in 2022-2023 > https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-66521490
