Transferring music from Mac to USB stick?

I’m feeling like a complete numpty, when I stopped work I decided to replace the old laptop with a Mac, ripped all of my old CDs on it, transferred them to my phone no problem, however, I recently added an I3 to the stable and wanted to transfer the music to the car’s hard drive, for the life of me I can’t work out how to transfer the ripped CDs to the stick.
If I drag the Music app across I seem to just get the App, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to just copy the music files.
Help! Before I throw the whole thing out of an upstairs window!

In Finder, open the Music folder and you should find a Media folder which contains all your music.

If you are struggling to find it, go into the Music App, select a track, then goto File and Show in Finder and it should take you to where they are saved.

Don't forget to check what USB-sitck format/partition scheme the car requires (some want FAT32, others want NTFS, others take everything other than Apple formats).

Also check that you have ripped them to a format that the car recognises (it might be limited to MP3, AIFF, WMV only or may also accepts FLAC, OGG, MP4).

But you should be able to simply drag and drop from the library list in Apple Music to the drive - assuming it's in a format that the Mac can write to natively (FAT or exFAT), or that you have some file system extension software installed like NTFS for Mac or the like to allow writing to NTFS drives.

I tend to make playlists of what I want to copy and then used to drag & drop the playlist to a CD/USB stick - but I just put them on my iPhone now as I have lots of space on it.
