I need to change my incoming stop cock and isolate outside.

Ive found the point but not sure what tool I use to close the valve.

You can buy long ones but mines reachable by arms length.

Any ideas?

I used a socket on a long extension bar.

And then when you open it again it's sure to leak.

Take it easy on the loading.

I had one snap and suddenly and for a long time - a geyser

Used a socket on the end of a hinged handle.

Stop cock went on, then was weeping so had to redo it again and added some LSX, so far so good.

Rest of the job of redoing my mains plumbing for a water softener has been an absolute fking nightmare though, I've only worked with 15mm Copper but my mains is all 22mm coming In and keep getting leaks mainly because I've got the fittings close together so don't want to be going to hard on the solder heat.

Coupled with the thing going in a 500mm wide cabinet and that having zero space it's been very painful.

Maybe should had got a few quotes as the place I bought it wanted 500 quid and felt like a lot at the time.
