VAG 190ps Petrol EA888?

I’ve come to learn about the Arteon and quite like the look of the 2021 Facelift. I’ve experience with the EA288 diesel in my 2017 Superb but am open to the later 190ps petrol as understand there are increased complexities with the later diesels for emissions.
What is the 190ps like as found in the Arteon? How are they with fuel? I understand they’re tuned and set up mechanically different to the more powerful versions ie set up for economy not power so Golf GTi etc can’t be used as an mpg indicator?
Mileage is around 20 to 25 k per annum so would be seeking a car around 50k miles on it.

To my knowledge it is the same as used across various models in the VAG range, much like my 2017 car's 150ps diesel. I did do some googling which suggested the 190ps hasn't much tuning headroom because of using lightened components and a very high compression ratio, all for efficiency rather than power.
My thoughts are that if there's a big enough price difference between the 190ps and a 150/200ps diesel with the petrol being cheaper then that could offset the increased fuel cost compared to the diesel option (and mitigate some of the emissions complexity risk).
Likelihood is I would run the car to around 150k miles.
