991.1 Targa

For me, these are the pinnacle of 911’s but they hardly ever come up for sale.

Does anyone know how many were sold in the U.K.?

Ditto to this. I don’t think it exists but I would love a manual 991.1 Targa.

They’re the prettiest 911 variant and the 991 interior layout and supplied tech is perfect for providing what you need while not being intrusive.

I had a 991.1 targa 4 and because they’re a bit heavy it felt underpowered and the scuttle shake was bad on the rubbish British roads. If you like a bit of oomph and noise the s or GTS would be the one to go for. But they have strong residuals and since they’re more of a cruiser they’re in competition with several other manufacturers.

When I was searching for mine there were never many available for sale so you may have to compromise on spec. If you haven’t driven one before I highly recommend that you do before pulling the trigger; aesthetically great but dynamically compromised.
