iPhone 13 Mini_eBay Specials

Mrs H&J wants a new iPhone 13mini 256Gb. Specifically the 13 mini as she has very little hands and finds it very easy to use. Strange requirement I know, but its what she wants.

Anyway I've seen most of eBay listings are for new / never opened items. Are these UK or Non-UK models?

More importantly, if they are non-UK is that an issue or will they work just as well without any geo-location issues. Will they have Apple warranty?

Actually hadn't noticed that one was China.

However every second listing is similar and most are UK. Like this one-

Whilst I don't mind Amazon renewed, the Iphone 13mini renewed gets pretty rubbish reviews regrding the actual quality of the refurb

That's a lot of money for old tech that IIRC isn't supported any more

What about the likes of the 16e; or the 17 Air for proper lightweight-ness

Its not the weight, its the size.

She really likes the form factor of the 13mini.

I'd hazard a guess that even the UK seller ones have originated in China and at a push are sat in a U.K warehouse now, bearing in mind Temu now has UK warehouses. I'd be very surprised if Apple offered anything in the way of warranty on them

Exactly the same as Mrs. Rooster. I got her a 13mini from Music Magpie for a decent price, absolutely mint condition.

My Mrs has a 13 Mini because it fits perfectly into some pocket somewhere and this is extremely important!

Giffgaff 'refurbished' - refurbished in inverted commas because nobody other than Apple actually refurbishes the phones, they just grade them.

With Giffgaff it is worth ordering just a 'good' rather than a higher grade as they are rubbish at grading them and frequently send out what you would consider a higher grade, and it is free to send them back if a real 'good' rather than an 'execllent' or 'like new' turns up.

I played 'Giffgaff roulette' earlier in the year for an iPhone 16 Pro 256GB, and it only took three goes before I ended up with a pristine phone that had fewer than 100 charge cycles and 100% battery health as a cheap 'good'.

My younger sister gets her phone from Music Magpie eBay branch - refurbished. They come with 12mth warranty and are generally really good condition. I wouldnt run the risk with anything 'funny' when they offer such a good deal for those wanting an older phone

You will only get a couple of years max out of a 13 mini before Apple pull the security updates for it and iOS compatibility begins to decline.

Bearing in mind its 5 year old tech already it will be very out of date pretty quickly.

Apple are still doing security updates for the XR released in 2018, so likely more than a couple of years before the 13 released in 2021 stops getting them.

I have a 13 mini (I have big hands) don't need a big phone, the mini is perfect and fits in my top pocket. Just updated to iOS27, should be supported for a good few years, it will need a new battery soon. I'll be keeping it for as long as it works, the only thing it doesn't do is the new Siri AI stuff, but not really bothered.

I also have a 13 mini bought from amazon renewed.
Which replaced a 12 mini that had smashed.

I won t be buying anything bigger than the mini so if Apple don t release any smaller phones again then I hope my 13 will last forever
(I bought mine in green which appears to be the least popular colour and happens to be cheaper than all the others)
