Just idly wondering ...

Ford have removed the Nugget Camper from the UK market. Might this mean the prices of remaining new stock already at the dealers will go up, down or stay the same? Just wondering if there might be deals to be had in the near future.

Was it popular? Price will go up.
Was it a dog that didn't sell? Price will go down.

Indeed.

Plus a wet belt engine...

It also does not help that Ford list Nugget as a commercial vehicle yet on the link to nearly new and secondhand stock you cannot filter by camper or Nugget or....so how the heck do you find stock?

I would also add, as the owner of a T5.1 camper, that so many folk I speak to are 'holding off' until an electric camper with decent range is getting produced.

Nugget is based on the Gen 1 Custom, possibly not bothering to make a Gen 2 version?

And yep, new Transporters are now 99.9% Transits hurl

The first camper conversions of Kia's PV5 are now being produced e.g. https://wellhouseleisure.com/our-brands/kia-pv5-fu...

Range is a little over 250 miles (likely less once converted and loaded up), which I know many EV haters will say isn't enough, but I'm just back from a trip to the Isle of Lewis and Harris, and there's plenty of EV chargers everywhere the camper crowds go in the UK now.

They made a Gen 2 Ford Nugget but due to low sales (let me guess.....everyone bought the VW California instead?) they have discontinued RHD production. Having said that, the latest VW California is based on the Multivan, not the Transporter, so there is now a gap in the market for a new Ford Transit Custom/VW Transporter based camper. I believe it is a little bigger, and less intrusion from the engine so its a useful extra amount of space in a camper. There are several third party converters who do campers (but not a factory one any more).

Some, possibly most variants of the Nugget, had a crappy mid island kitchen layout, and at the end by the tailgate, a stter. Literally not even a boxed in stter. It made it impractical and awkward to use.

The LWB Nugget Plus has the thunderbox at the back. And were £75k or so. Lot of money.
