That looks, to me, far too big for its wheels, almost stretch limo proportions.
This really looks like an incoherent mix-up of different types of car:
An open cockpit with a small, light, normally aspirated manual car? Yes, that's fun.
A big V8 with a torque converter auto? Yes, work well together for practical, easy oomph.
Mixing the two? No thanks.
It's not even a well-executed mix-up, Evo magazine recently recommended the contemporary Ford Focus 1.6 as a better driver's car than an SLR.

Fine if you want one for a collection, but I struggle to see it as remotely usable in the real world, even as a high days and holidays special run machine.

Many people with an interest in racing, yes.The fact that Moss was never champion is neither here nor there. For the vast majority of his career, certainly after Fangio retired, Moss was not just the best; he was the best by a long way, and acknowledged as such by his peers.
