PC headphone issues.

I have a run of the mill dekstop which has an on board soundcard, and up until they gave up, I was running a set of very old creative speakers with a headphone jack.

I've since replaced the old speakers with a set of cheapies from Argos, but the headphone volumes are low and it won't go above a set sound , which is equivalent to my Beats phones I occasionally use, as such the volume level is pretty poor. The speaker volume when cranked up is quite loud though, but the headphone volume doesn't correlate.

I've tried all the settings tricks etc to no avail.

So i'm looking for a speaker set up, with a phone jack which allows me to crank up the volume for the headphones which is equivalent or on par to the speakers.i'm aware loud volumes can cause hearing issues, but it is only occasionally that I need the volume to be quite loud.

All and any suggestions gratefully appreciated, budget to around £150 ish for a decent set of PC speakers.
