Based on live stream from the BBC, there seems to be a very light police presence for what could turn into an extremely serious situation.
I can only assume there s a lot of land rovers hidden round a few nearby corners.
There will be somewhere but they won’t want to escalate. The orange men are outnumbered and unless their rabble turn up it’ll stay that way. The locals won’t be moving though so they’ll be no march today. I can only assume there s a lot of land rovers hidden round a few nearby corners.
I just don’t understand why the parades commission has reopened this mess after all these years.

I just don't understand why anybody would worry about some men walking to/from church. If that's what they want to do, why worry about it?Currently the most helpful thing is the Northern Irish weather. When this usually happens on the 12th it’s a bit warmer and everyone kicks off in the sunshine.

Plenty of other routes they could walk and they really dot need to walk at all. It s a predominantly nationalist area, there s really no need.
Why shouldn't Protestants be able to walk in a Catholic area, whether they have cars or not?I take no sides but it just seems unnecessary and as someone from Northern Irish descent, many are sick of communities continually just causing issues like this
It's tit-for-tat with stuff like this. I fully expect some kind of riotting as usual

My Granddad's family took part in nonsense like this is Liverpool in the early 20th century.
He could see how ridiculous it was and wanted nothing to do with it.
His view was that all of the working class people were poor and it was just silly tribalism that suited the rich dock and factory owners.
Antagonising and fighting with people who's ancestors followed a slightly different version of the same religion?
Ridiculous.
The people of NI can now identify as Irish or British, there is no need for silly, antagonistic, marches.

It's antagonistic and unnecessary in this context. It's not a walk as you're making out - you're being disingenuous. It's aan organised march, with colours, flags, music. The fact it's not happened and has opposition shows that.

OK, the piccolos are a bit annoying, but no different to the chav at the end of my lane playing rap music from his car stereo at full blast. So why shouldn't a Protestant be able to play his annoying music around Catholics without the political wing of the IRA setting up a road block and its leader saying 'It brings into question how the peace process works'?I take no sides but it just seems unnecessary and as someone from Northern Irish descent, many are sick of communities continually just causing issues like this

Er, ok. How about that they just don't do it?

I don't think there should be no go areas in the UK - as above, a Protestant should be able to go into a Catholic area and vice versa without being threatened, intimidated, or attacked. I'm happy to hear a good reason why this shouldn't be the case. How about that they just don't do it?
