Replacing a Mira Agile shower mixer
Discussion
My ensuite has one fitted and I want to upgrade to a dual outlet shower, rainfall head and handset. However Mira purposely make the pipe centres 50mm apart which means practically every standard 150mm shower mixer on the market won't fit without messing with tiles and the pipes behind the wall. The other side of the wall is outside so I guess access would be from the loft. Not something I'd want to do myself.
The only straight swap I could find is the Mira Minimal

Which for an all plastic construction is pretty overpriced. Are there any mixers out there that can accept 50mm pipe spacing? I've googled it and came up short

Have you used a dual outlet shower much previously?
I went through this recently because my wife said she wanted the option of a rainfall shower.
It's actually pretty crap even with lots of pressure and flow behind it. We both used it a few times before deciding we preferred the normal shower head and really shouldn't have bothered!

We have a 10" wide shower head and even on the third floor (with water coming up from an unvented cylinder in the garage two floors down) it still flows generously. Either you don't as much pressure and flow as you think, or there is a restrictor built into the showerhead so they can say on the packaging that it only uses X litres per minute.I went through this recently because my wife said she wanted the option of a rainfall shower.

Lack of flow and pressure certainly isn't the issue - the water system is fed by a private water supply that maintains 4 bar through a 32mm pipe almost whatever you do and the shower will empty the 300l hot water tank in about 15m at full chat. It's just that we both prefer the fire hose type feel of the standard head instead of the much more gentle feeling rainfall type head. Personal preference I guess.
