Looking for a recommendation for a garage to do an MOT. One that will do the MOT while I wait also and understands a four wheel drive can't go on the brake rollers.
Thanks!

I believe the rollers have a mode for 4 wheel drive, certainly my local garage has the ability to test 4x4's on its rollers. If their rollers arn't capable they will just use a tapley tester or similar.

I don't understand how a 4wd mode can be available on the rollers unless there are two sets of rollers, one for each axle?

Apparently the rollers turn in different directions so the diffs do what they are designed to do. I have tested my series land rover on one and it did not explode. So i guess something more modern will cope just fine.

I understand how that's fine for just one driven axle but for a full time four wheel drive with torsen diffs front and rear, Ferguson coupling centre diff, what loads happen through the centre diff while the rear wheels are completely static?

Not a modern car, old school permanent four wheel drive

Well if that's the case any MOT tester will know about it and deal with it appropriately, that is why they have so much training. Its not difficult for them to test with a Tapley if needed. If you are worried tell them your concerns ,all MOT station have Tapley devices.
