"A flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was unexpectedly diverted after a physical fight between the pilots, Israeli officials told local media.

The Flydubai plane - which took off from Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates early on Wednesday morning - signalled an emergency code two hours into the journey, flight tracking website Flightradar24 said.

Minutes later it switched to a code used to report a hijacking, but was later turned back to the general emergency signal, the website reported."

Some reports suggesting one of the pilots was Omani and the other Emirati.

Bbc is now reporting that one pilot stabbed the other and a couple of pilots who were at the back of the plane took over and landed the plane.

Reports coming out the copilot tried to crash the plane, pilot stopped him and was stabbed before the co-pilot was restrained

Reports indicate that an additional pilot crew – a Russian and a Ukrainian – were traveling as passengers and ultimately managed to land the aircraft safely in Saudi Arabia.
