Hi Dave,

We are a couple of miles outside Windsor.

It’s a really lovely car, I’ve primarily used it to drive up to Scotland where we’ve just finished building a new house.

It’s been perfect for long motorway journeys, I’d love to keep it but despite being X drive don’t think it’s ideal for snow, ice and more rural location.

Hi,
Do you have any further details as to the paint that was required to the nearside.
And what was the reason for the car being removed from the forthcoming auctions and then reappearing?
Many thanks,

alexarrc

I’ve now got a car vertical check which describes the work (from 2019 I believe).

The estimated repair cost in 2019 was £5,000 to £5,500 and was then 10-15% of the repair cost.

I wasn’t aware of this when the car was originally listed, nor when I bought it (through PH).

The paint repair is unnoticeable although can be established by a machine that reads paint thickness. Left rear arch appears to have been the area of repair. Do look at the excellent photos, the champagne quartz metallic paint really is lovely.

It had previously listed as original paint which I think may have been a deal breaker.

To clarify the repair in 2019 was estimated at 10-15% of the cars value at the time and I believe was pre AC schnitzer ownership/conversion.

I’ll upload the detail from the car vertical report later this pm which shows the detail well.

My assessment is that there was a minor repair to the rear wheel arch then the necessary respray - which isn’t visible (to my eye) even in bright sunlight.

Matching individual paint can’t be easy so it must have been done very well indeed. It only became apparent with a paint thickness reader.
