Possibly being overcautious here, but just suppose there is an outbreak of Pneumonic plague. Can we buy anything from the pharmacy these days to deal with it? Is it still as dangerous as centuries ago or survivable with reasonable luck and prompt treatment?

That was the BUBONIC plague.

For this one you'll need a tool, such as a short poem, word, or phrase, designed to help the brain recall larger pieces of information.

Wasn't it as simple as the newspapers saying there was a shortage?

I'd say it was as simple as some people buying more than they needed.

The shelves were definitely empty.

A quick read of the symptoms and outcome means you d better be bloody quick with the treatment, which is apparently antibiotics, which I don t think can be bought over the counter.

Obviously the wibblists are all sharpening their keyboards ready for another few years of conspiracy theories and sharing their medical and scientific expertise in these areas.

I remember going to do a normal shop and seeing people coming out with shopping trolleys stacked high just with bog rolls and bottled water, I must have missed the news article about our water supply being infected with covid.confused

With excellent timing another 48-roll box of Who Gives a Crap loo rolls arrived today.

Before then I was worried as we only had two unopened boxes waiting in the attic….

Mask up now, just in case it's incubating in someone you come into contact with.

Alternatively, wait until you get it, accept the provided treatment and take your chances.
